Those are some incredible pieces. It's so rare to see sci fi art these days that's not digitally painted or 3d rendered. Your works are very inspiring

Thanks, sorry for the delay in replying. Glad you like the work, and you make a valid point. Still, the digital stuff IS awesom e, but perhaps, like me, you want it a bit more ..real? Would that be a way to describe it ?I find it hard to take some of it too seriously, but there are designers out there who are taking the tools available and doing extraordinary things with them. Epic work, genuinely moving, sense-of-wonder stuff. Hard to find fault with that, if it opens up some eyes and minds to the possibilities.
I'm about to post a couple of new pieces, done for a con, taken from Star Wars. I really had to up my game for these, they're so iconic. But I learned loads from merely looking that hard at the original artwork, both the modellers and the amazing Ralph McQuarrie. See what you think, even if it is essentially fanart.

Once more, thanks for you kind words. Per ardua ad astra!

Wow breath taking, how long did that take ?

Not that long, actually. It's quite small, maybe thirty centimetres across. Most of it took about
6 hours, I suppose, or three months, as I waited about that long to fix one glaring error. I like it though. The ship is a bit of a homage to the late and extremely wonderful Peter Elson, one of the finest SF artists ever.
As always, thanks for pausing long enough to make a comment, the courtesy is appreciated.
